Trying Different Coffee Shops, One Iced Latte at a Time

One of my favorite things to do is try new coffee shops. Whether I am visiting a new town or finding a hidden gem close to home, I love walking into a coffee shop and seeing what makes it unique. From the atmosphere and music to the pastries and the way the drinks are made, every coffee shop has something different to offer. Even though I love trying new places, there is one thing that almost always stays the same: I am ordering an iced latte and my fiancé is ordering a hot latte.

Iced lattes have become my go-to coffee order because they are simple, refreshing, and there are so many ways to make them different. I might add honey, try a seasonal flavor, switch up the size, or sometimes just get a classic iced latte. Even when I tell myself I should try something completely new from the menu, I somehow end up ordering the same thing. But honestly, I think there is something fun about finding your favorite drink and seeing how different coffee shops make it.

For me, trying different coffee shops is about more than just the coffee. I love discovering new places, taking pictures of the drinks and the space, and enjoying the little moments that come with sitting in a new environment. Every shop has its own personality, and even though my order may always be an iced latte, the experience is never exactly the same. Maybe one day I’ll finally branch out and order something different, like a hot latte, which my fiancé dreams of seeing me do—but until then, I’ll happily keep trying every iced latte I can find.
